Agape Christian Fellowship at Loyola University Chicago began when God placed a burden on several Loyola students' hearts, as well as on others who shared the same vision, to reach friends and classmates on the Loyola campus. The students began meeting weekly for Bible studies in January 2005 and was recognized by the school later that semester as an official student organization. Now able to minister more visibly on campus, the first meeting of the Fall 2005 school year brought in a diverse group of students, both graduate and undergraduate, who sought God's Word and learned more about Agape- that is, the unconditional and self-sacrificial love of Christ.
Mission Statement:
The purpose of Agape Christian Fellowship is to be a community committed to following and serving Jesus Christ, raising and developing disciples, and growing in our love for God and all of God's people of every ethnicity and culture.
