Do non-Filipinos worship at NFBC?
Definitely. We have a growing multicultural and multigenerational congregation. People of all cultures, backgrounds, and age groups are welcome at NFBC. We thank God for blessing us with a diverse congregation, and we firmly believe that this diverse body of believers better enables us to answer God's calling for community.
Do I have to be Baptist to worship at NFBC?
As a church, we are first and foremost people seeking God together, struggling in many ways, but finding our life in Jesus. Before anything else, we gather for worship because we need God and his love through his people. While our committed members and leaders believe the Gospel, submit to God's Word, and organize ourselves in a Baptist tradition, we are blessed to welcome you into our worship gatherings even if you're still curious about who Jesus is.
What is NFBC's approach to worship?
At NFBC, we seek to enable the congregation to fully experience God's power and love through a dynamic yet reflective service. Fusing both contemporary and traditional styles of worship, we strive to bring all of our members into God's presence, emphasizing our common need: a relationship with God and each other through his Spirit and his Word.
I'd like to get plugged into a small group. How do I do so?
It would be our pleasure to connect you to a group that best fits your life stage, your availability, or your place in the spiritual journey. Reach out to us here on our website, via Facebook, through any of our leaders, or see our Sunday program for a list of the groups meeting throughout each week. We'll do whatever we can to come alongside you and help you grow.
I've been attending NFBC for a while now. Should I become a member? How do I become a member?
Membership in a local church is a unique thing, not because it brings with it special benefits or perks, but because it is a commitment to serve God and his people in a specific place. This is why leadership and decision-making are reserved for NFBC members, because we share a sense of calling to this specific community. We strongly encourage membership for those who are ready so that we can experience the joy of serving and helping others with our God-given abilities. At NFBC, we receive members into the church family through water baptism (as taught by Jesus) and through transfer from a church with similar commitments.
How can I serve at NFBC? What opportunities are there?
As a growing church, the needs of our community and opportunities to serve are also expanding. Our approach at NFBC is to help people grow in love for each other and, through relationships, to gain clarity on the best ways that God has gifted each of us to help the church and its ministries whether within NFBC, in the surrounding community, or in its relationships around the world. See our SERVE page to learn more about how we serve.
