Getting
to know some of the Higaunon ladies, Kagay and Nando. They are
friendly but our conversation was limited brcause I don't know how to
speak Binukid. Kagay knows a little Visayan since she was more exposed
to the "lowlanders." |

It's
rainy season and so it was raining every day. I found out it is better
to go barefoot rather than using my foot gear, more traction in the
mud. |

Changing Imi's dressing. Imi's
face sustained a second degree burn when she tried to reach for a pot
that contained lugaw. She was flown to a hospital by the plane pictured
below. Stayed in the hospital for a week. PTL! Imis face appeared that
she wont have a permanent scar.
This is exactly what I would
like to do someday. I will be involved in the medical aspect of the
work so that teachers and translators will be able to do their work
with less interruption. |

Got
into the tribe by land…the truck got stuck in the mud. Walked the
rest of the way…ten kilometers. It took me 2 days to travel by land
from NTM's base in Mindanao. |
